About the Role

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Customer Care

  • Deliver high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, in accordance with individual care plans.

  • Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

  • Administer medication reminders as per care plan and report any medication-related issues.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging customers in meaningful activities.

  • Continuously assess customer needs, adapting care delivery as required, and reporting changes to relevant personnel.

  • Ensure customer safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.

Communication

  • Maintain open and effective communication with customers, their families, and care team members.

  • Actively listen to customer needs and concerns, providing clear and empathetic responses.

  • Seek guidance from senior care professionals to enhance communication skills and address complex situations.

  • Document care activities, observations, and any changes in customer condition accurately and promptly.

Observation and Reporting

  • Monitor customer's physical and emotional well-being, identifying any changes in condition or behavior.

  • Report any concerns or incidents to senior care professionals according to established procedures.

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date care records.

  • Observe and provide feedback to care workers to support their professional development.

Training and Development

  • Participate in mandatory training and professional development opportunities.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and improve care practices.

  • Embrace feedback and coaching to enhance performance.

  • Lead and mentor care workers, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and company policies.

  • Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications.

  • Protect customer privacy and confidentiality.

  • Comply with all relevant health and social care regulations.

Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively as part of a care team to provide comprehensive care.

  • Share information and collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care.

  • Support team members in achieving shared goals.

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • No specific qualifications required; willingness to undergo training and development programs.

Experience:

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at enhanced level. Cost to be met by the candidate.
